number of adolescents seeking urgent care due to thoughts of self-harm and suicide attempts.
This unsettling surge has been associated with the widespread use of smartphones and digital

contributed to heightened social detachment within families. Adolescents, in particular, bear

addressing the mental health needs of children. Typically, when children display indications of
depression or anxiety, they are directed towards individual therapy with therapists. However,
this method, comparable to a routine car maintenance appointment, neglects to tackle the
underlying origins of their struggles. It has become evident that children seldom experience
substantial progress solely through individual therapy, with the roots of their distress frequently
stemming from familial dynamics overlooked within the existing treatment framework.
Consequently, a more comprehensive and inclusive approach that involves the entire family in
the recuperative process is essential for fostering enduring advancements in children’s mental
well-being.
Research involving more than 27,000 families has revealed a substantial association
between family dysfunction and the severity of a child’s mental health challenges. Children in
families characterized by frequent arguments, a lack of attentive listening, and disconnected
relationships tend to experience higher levels of depression, anxiety, and suicidal tendencies.
Conversely, families that maintain strong connections, employ effective communication,
handle conflicts calmly, and express affection serve as a protective factor against mental
illness.Constructive family dynamics, which encompass efficient communication, conflict
resolution, and the display of affection, have been shown to notably alleviate the impact of

expectations and stress. Today’s parents confront substantial pressures while striving to balance
personal and professional responsibilities and meeting societal standards regarding their
children’s achievements. This strain often permeates into children’s lives, contributing to their

social settings can overwhelm children, leading to anxiety, depression, and other mental health

The current expectations placed on children to achieve advanced milestones at younger
